Meet Our Welfare Officer: Simon Mottershead
 
At Nexus BJJ, the safety and well-being of our members—especially our juniors—is our highest priority. We are proud to have appointed Simon as our dedicated Welfare Officer.
Simon a student at the academy and brings an exceptional level of professional expertise to this role. A Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in Children’s Social Work.
Their role is to ensure that Nexus BJJ remains a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone. They act as an independent point of contact for any concerns regarding safeguarding, bullying, or member welfare, separate from the coaching staff.
